Do Muslims and Christians Worship the Same God?
God in Christianity &Islam 1. Despite the Holy Book sometimes teaches that there is only one God (Mk 12:29; Eph 4:6; Jas 2:19), who is pure spirit (Jn 4:24; 1 Jn 4:12), the creator of the world (1 Ti 4:4; Heb 3:4), holy and good (Ro 3:4; Eph 4:24; Rev 4:8), all-powerful (Mt 19:26; Mk 2:7, 10:18) and worthy of mankinds worship and love (Mt 6:24; Mk 11:22; Lk 2:14), it states something otherwise in many places. This is not the case in the Holy Quran. 2. In the Holy Book God ( Sometimes )forgetsWhy do you forget us forever, why do youso long forsake us? [Lam. 5:20How long O Lord ? will you forget meforever. [Psalm 13:1] In Islam God never forgets (The angels say:) "We descend not but by command of thy Lord: to Him belongeth what is before us and what is behind us, and what is between and thy Lord never doth forget" [Al_Quraan 019:064 ]+ www.knowmuhammad.org 3. In The Holy Book, God ( Sometimes ) sleepsAwake, why do you sleep, O Lord?(Psalm. 4:23)Then the Lord awaked as one out of sleep, and like a mighty man that shouts by reasonof wine. [Psalm. 4:23] In The Holy Quran God never sleeps Allah! There is no God but He,-the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. (Al_Quraan 2:255) www.knowmuhammad.org 4. In the Holy Book, God ( Sometimes ) needs to berefreshed For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. [Exo. 31:17] In the Holy Quran, God never needs to be refreshed We created the heavens and the earth and all between them in Six Long Periods, nor did any sense of weariness touch Us.(Al_Quraan 50:038) www.knowmuhammad.org 5. In the Holy Book, God can ( Sometimes ) be seen face to faceJacob wrestled God who said to him, "Let me go;for the day is breaking" But Jacob said, "I will notlet you go unless you bless me. And he said tohim,” What is your name? And he said "Jacob"Then the Lord said, "Your name shall be no morecalled Jacob but Israel, for you have striven withGod and with men, and have prevailed. [Gen.32:22] In the Holy Quran , God can’t be seen face to face No vision can grasp Him, but His grasp is over all vision: He is above all comprehension, yet is acquainted with all things.
