The Historical Roots of B'ahi
Islam has faced a lot of troubles since the very beginning and is still facing more and more. The first movements were led by the pagan Arabs, though followed the different strategies, failed and Islam succeeded to reach the farthest corners of the world. In our modern age these fierce campaigns continued and worst among these are the movements that affiliated themselves to Islam. The Bahi movement is a case in point. This modern anti-Islam movement was triggered with aim of distorting the pristine doctrines of Islam, disunifying the nation, emptying the religion from its pristine contents just to be an easy prey to proselytizing the adherents or to killing in them the spirit of resistance. Bahi is a movement that was invented to achieve the aims of this strategy. However Merza Aly Sherazi (1235-1919) , is considered the founder of this movement. In Bagdadd he used to attend the lectures of Kathem Al-Rashty, the leader of Shea Alshaykya. There he was presented to a Russian man by the name Kenard Gorgy, who claimed that he reverted to Islam but, in reality, never reverted in heart. The man was a spy who harboured malicious intents against Islam, he taught the attendees that Al-sherazi is the long awaited Mahdi and that he was the channel and the way that would lead to the truth, which would appear after his death.
